Dave Ulbrick, designer and inventor of NRS Noise Reduction Systems is one of seven children to
Sir Jim Ulbrick. Sir Jim has a number of accolades and has written many influential technical
papers. In 1986 he was awarded an Order of Australia medal for services to the manufacturing
industry and community on the Queen’s Birthday honours list. Jim also received The Australian
Society of manufacturing Engineers award for outstanding contribution to Australian
manufacturing. Sir Jim held key executive roles in the society of Engineers for the Pacific region
and was the inaugural Chapter Chairman.
President Ronald Reagan presented Sir Jim with a Gold medal to celebrate the society of
manufacturers 50th Anniversary.
Dave Ulbrick is most definitely a ‘chip off the old block’. Dave is a qualified Master Craftsman,
an A grade machinist, an electronics and mechanical engineer, a specialist in vehicle
electronics, a 3D plastics fabricator, a distinguished manufacturer of boutique amplifiers and a
subcontractor to Boeing Industries. He is noted for holding 43 registered designs and 2
worldwide patents. Wow!
Dave is a first class musician and guitar player having provided expert knowledge and skilled
services for over 30 years to the equipment, the amps and guitars of many famous players,
both Australian and overseas. He knows everything there is to know about great guitar tone!
What does all this equate to? A music industry icon that really knows what he is doing.
